Berwick Summer Fun Day

The village Summer Fun Day took place on Saturday 5th August at The Clock House to raise funds for our local amenities.   We were lucky with the weather as the sun shone brightly.  The river was too low to run the annual duck race but hopefully this may take place later in the year.   Many from Berwick participated in setting up the event, helping on the day, running various stalls, making cakes to sell, cooking sausages and hamburgers and providing delicious salads and puddings.  We had amazingly generous auction prizes donated which resulted in even more generous bids!

A total of £3,216 was raised and £216 would be donated to the Marie Curie Cancer charity.
