Fete, Dog Show and Duck Raise a Record £1800.00

What a fabulous couple of days we have had!
We were lucky with not only the weather but also by the fact that we had so
many people from the village who helped to make the day a real success.
A full list of people who helped will
follow later but we should firstly thank Sarah and Toby who allowed the fete
and dog show to be held at their beautiful house. The gardens looked beautiful
and were a perfect setting for a great English village fete.
Thanks also the Tilly for judging the Dog
show and also a big thanks to Jean and Sarah for organising such a slick and
professional event. More on the dog the results of the dog show soon.
The teas and cakes, which were wonderfully
refreshing, brought in a record £200.00. Our thanks go to Jackie who worked
tirelessly with her band her band of helpers to produce so many cups of tea.
Nicky's
experience of running past fetes and her continued support
was invaluable
The first Berwick Duck race, which was
organised by Will and Sophie, was a complete success with all 200 ducks being
sold. Thanks also to Bob, Barry and Charles for helping the little ducks on
their way down the Till.
The notes and coins are still being counted
by Ian, our treasurer but it looks like over £1550 was made at the village fete
and dog show and the Duck race may take the total to nearly £1800…
More news to follow soon.
Do let me have your pictures so that I can
add them below. Christian
